SharePoint and Content Management Services for Dedicated Environments

SharePoint and Content Management Services provide collaboration and document management services that allow for information sharing, content management, and easy team collaboration with documents, tasks, events, and meetings.

The SharePoint Services for Dedicated Environments offer customers running on dedicated hosted hardware the SharePoint and Content Management support they need for their individual requirements.

Customer Benefits

This service is currently deployed on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Services  2010 platform. Custom NIH templates with a standard NIH header and footer are available, tailored for team sites, document sites, meeting sites, content sites, and discussion sites.  SharePoint is compatible and integrated with Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 for Windows products and is compatible with Microsoft Office 2008 and 2011 for Macintosh. SharePoint provides agile provisioning of team sites for information sharing and team productivity.

SharePoint Publishing provides customers the ability to easily and quickly publish content without assistance from their IT department.

SharePoint 2010 customers who have purchased premium Client Access Licenses (CALs) can use the Excel Services, Business Intelligence, and Business Process Forms features. Supported services in SharePoint 2010 include Excel Services, Blogs, Business Connectivity Services (BCS), Search, Dashboards, MetaData, OOTB Web Parts, People Search, Sandbox solutions, Visual Upgrade, Wikis, Publishing, Infopath, and Mail.

Support for custom code deployment is also available. Each customer designates a Site Administrator who has administrative access to their project’s site. CIT offers regular training sessions to ensure site administrators have a solid operational background.

Customers in a dedicated SharePoint environment run on separate hardware which meets their individual needs, provides dedicated capacity, and allows the installation of third party products into their SharePoint environment.
