8/29/12: The Above and Beyond Ethics Administrative and Support Retreat, entitled Motivate, Communicate, and Facilitate, will be held on main campus. The retreat is open to all administrative and support staff in the ethics offices at the NIH. Registration deadline is Friday, August 17th. See the registration form (pdf) for additional information. 4/22/12: New web page regarding the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act. (Removed 7/19/12, later announcement remains)

12/29/11: OGE issues Legal Advisory LA-11-10 advising that the pay-level thresholds of ethics provisions remain at the 2011 levels for calendar year 2012.

OGE Annouces next quarter training opportunities for ethics officials. Register early; classes fill quickly.

11/8/11: 2011 Annual Ethics Training: Government Ethics and Social Media is required for all NIH regular Government employees. Progress and completion will be tracked. In addition, you may save or print the certificate of completion at the end.

Non-employees (e.g., visiting staff, guest staff, contractors, other non-employees). If you are instructed to complete 2011 Annual Ethics Training, please choose this link. You will review the same material however your progress and complete will not be tracked.

Additional training about non-employees interacting with Federal Government employees is available. Go to the Training page, to the non-employee section.

NINDS Receives Ethics Program Excellence and Innovation Award: The NINDS Ethics Office received the 2011 Program Excellence and Innovation Award at the 18th National Government Ethics Conference, sponsored by the Office of Government Ethics (OGE). See the full article in the NIH Record, November 11th edition, on the Milestones page (scroll to the bottom). Congratulations to NINDS! (Removed 1/2/12)

NCCAM's Robin Klevins receives the 2011 Ethics Awareness Poster Award from the Office of Government Ethics. The purpose of the poster contest is to showcase the creativity of individuals in raising employee awareness, and to foster the sharing of effective awareness-raising ideas across the ethics community.  The award-winning posters will be made available for use by all agencies throughout the executive branch.
