Located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, this is the second community-based outpatient clinic to be established with Dorn VA Medical Center as the parent facility. The Rock Hill Primary Care Clinic serves veterans in the counties of Cherokee, Chester, Lancaster and York. Because of its close proximity and the ease of access, the Clinic also provides care to some patients in the South Charlotte (Mecklenberg County), North Carolina area. The Clinic was dedicated on Veterans Day 1999 and began seeing patients in January 2000. This is an appointment-only Clinic, providing primary care Monday through Friday. Clinical staff for the Rock Hill Veterans Affairs Primary Care Clinic is provided through a contract with Piedmont Medical Center. Administrative staff are Department of Veterans Affairs employees. When the Clinic opened initially, it was anticipated that 3,200 to 3,500 patients would be seen annually; however, more than 1,000 veterans attended the Dedication Ceremony and demand for care has far exceeded our expectations. We now anticipate that this Clinic will see approximately 5,000 veterans a year. Primary Care and Mental Health services. Hours of operation: 8-4:30 Mon-Fri. Distance to Columbia VAMC: 77.
