Health Alert Network Command Center: Action Requested

To All HAN Coordinators:

Please "reply" to this e-mail at healthalert@cdc.gov

PHPPO has been maintaining a Health Alert Network Command Center to transmit Health Alerts related to recent national events. The Command Center can be reached by e-mail at healthalert@cdc.gov or by phone at 770-488-8251. There have been two national alert messages (see below) communicated as of this point in time.

You will note these messages provide information about CDC's 24/7 emergency hotline at 770-488-7100 as well as access to CDC via the web at www.hhs.gov.

NOTE: Messages previously attached were removed due to broken links.

However, we still need your help verifying your agency's key contacts:

NOTE: Attachments were removed to maintain confidentiality of information.

Action 1. Please validate the personnel contact information (State Health Officers, State Epidemiologists, State Lab Directors, State WMD Directors) for your agency (see attachments above). Make any corrections or additions (i.e., Deputy State Health Officers, 24/7 Duty Officers, etc.) necessary to ensure timely and accurate communication and return the corrections to us as soon as possible by e-mail.

Action 2. Please advise us of any state or local health alert response to this national event that may have been implemented within your jurisdiction.

Action 3. We would appreciate copies of updated personnel contact information and health alert notifications or health advisories your agency has developed. Send electronic copies to healthalert@cdc.gov

Please "reply" to this e-mail at healthalert@cdc.gov
