Delivering Patient-Centered Outcomes Research to the Nation’s Free Clinics

On March 30, 2011, AHRQ hosted a Web conference in conjunction with the National Association of Free Clinics (NAFC).

The Web conference featured Director Carolyn Clancy, M.D., (View biosketch), NAFC Executive Director Nicole Lamoureux, and Dr. Karen Friday of the Common Ground Clinic in New Orleans, LA. In addition to an overview of free clinics and the populations they serve, the group discussed how patient-centered outcomes research and tools can benefit the nation’s free clinics.

This Web conference was the first in a series for NAFC members; subsequent sessions will focus on research topics and health conditions that are priorities for the free clinic environment.
