My grandma came as refugee, too, in 1975, from Vietnam. Even 10 years later, she could not pass the test. At that time, the test was very easy and simple. There were only talking, without any test, or N400. The officer tried to make easy for her, but my grandma knew only the test. Her English was not enough to talk every day English. She was upset, and she died and was burried as an Alien. I entered the US after her death, and I learnt the test in a week. In memory of her.

Actually there is a waiver for seniors who were here for a certain amount of time and are older than 65. They don't have to take the English test. For real, I work with an immigration lawyer.

i passed my citizenship interview i passed every thing but then she said that a decision have not yet been made what do i expect and what time period do i expect to hear from them, what should i expect next.
