Antenna Structures

About ASR

The Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) program allows the FCC to fulfill its statutory duty to require the painting and lighting of antenna structures that may pose a hazard to air navigation. We accomplish this vital task by requiring owners of antenna structures that meet the criteria for notification to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to register with the FCC.

Getting Started in ASR

All Antenna Structures that meet the registration criteria must be registered with the FCC. Step-by-step instructions on the registration process are detailed in Getting Started in ASR.

Logging into ASR

You must first log into the system before filing an antenna structure registration (ASR).

Search Registrations

ASR Registration Search enables you to search for registrations in the ASR database. You can search on basic elements of a registration, including registration number, FAA study number, FRN, and licensee name, or look up a registration based on the location and height of a structure. You can also use the advanced search to perform more sophisticated searches based on numerous criteria.

Search Applications

ASR Application Search enables you to search for submitted applications by file number or FAA study number. After you submit your search query, the Search Results screen will appear. At the top of the page are several navigational tools to help you sort through the results, which includes the status of the matching registrations.

ASR Filing Purposes

The ASR Filing application provides functionality to enable to create, modify, and update your license. These capabilities include:

  • Administrative Update
