2012 DAV Freedom Award Recipient - Every year, one participant is chosen for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Freedom Award for Outstanding Courage and Achievement. This honor is given to a veteran whose participation at the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic embodies the rehabilitative value and spirit of the event. (04/06/2012)

Finding a New Way to Fly - In April 2006, while traveling to Iraq on an Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) mission, the plane Lt. Col Ted Moorman was traveling on crashed and the next thing he knew he was being airlifted to a trauma center in Delaware. With life threatening injuries, much like Humpty Dumpty, he was put back together again and then airlifted to Milwaukee so that he could begin his recovery closer to home. (2/29/2012)
