Driving Directions to Alternate Activities

(All directions are from the Silvertree Hotel)

When departing for any location, the first three steps are all the same.

  1. Go down Elbert Lane
  2. Take a right on Snowmelt Road and continue to the stop sign.
  3. Take a left on Brushcreek Road and proceed 5 miles to Highway 82.

SNOWMOBILING

  1. Turn right on Highway 82 toward Aspen and proceed for 5 miles.
  2. In the Aspen Circle, take Maroon Creek Road, turn off, and then proceed all the way to the end. (T-Lazy 7 Ranch)

Approximate Travel Time: 30 Minutes.

ICE HOCKEY

  1. Make a right on Highway 82 toward Aspen and proceed for 5 miles.
  2. In the Aspen Circle, take the Maroon Creek Road, turn off, and then proceed approximately 1.5 miles. You will see a school on the left. The Recreation Center is on the right.

Approximate Travel Time: 25 Minutes.

CURLING

  1. Make a right on Highway 82 toward Aspen and proceed for 5 miles.
  2. In the Aspen Circle, follow around and continue straight until the road ends. Then take the turn on the right.
  3. The road circles back to the left and becomes Main Street.
  4. Follow Main Street and then make a right on 2nd Street.
  5. The ice rink is at the end of the road.

Approximate Travel Time: 30 Minutes

GLENWOOD SPRINGS

  1. Turn left on Highway 82, and take it all the way into Glenwood Springs.
  2. The pool is on the right, in the heart of town.

Approximate Travel Time: 40 Minutes

TRAPSHOOTING

  1. Turn left on Highway 82.
  2. Continue to mile marker 25, and then turn right at the traffic light.
  3. Find a sign for Reudi Reservoir and continue down Two Rivers Road all the way through the town of Basalt.
  4. Travel 2 miles through town and turn right onto Homestead Road.
  5. Take the first road on the left and continue approximately half of a mile; find the Division of Wildlife sign and continue down the dirt road.
  6. Follow the dirt road past Lake Christine up to the Trapshooting event.

Approximate Travel Time: 40 Minutes

ELKS LODGE

  1. Make a right on Highway 82 toward Aspen and proceed for 5 miles.
  2. In the Aspen Circle, follow around and continue straight until the road ends and veer to the right.
  3. The road circles back to the left and becomes Main Street.
  4. Go straight and make a right on Galena.
  5. Make a left on Hyman.
  6. The Lodge is on the left. (510 E. Hyman Ave.)

Approximate Travel Time: 30 Minutes
