Current Projects

Biomedical Multimedia Databases and Tools: I lead a development group in creating applications for image-based biomedical information collection and dissemination. We currently are working in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute to develop a suite of tools for uterine cervix cancer databases.

Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR): I do R & D for algorithm development for segmentation, indexing and retrieval of images directly by using the data characteristics of the images themselves.
