Assessing Health, Promoting Wellness
The inspiration for this guide grew out of conversations with PATH contacts in various states who indicated a high level of interest in providing trainings for front-line PATH providers on the general topic of health care issues for non-medical providers. To address this need, the PATH program, the HRC, and the National HCH Council came together to develop this guide, along with a training curriculum, for PATH providers and others who provide care for people experiencing homelessness.

While the focus of the guide is on health as traditionally understood, the content also reflects a broader view of health that points to the needs of the whole person within his or her environment.
