Learning about Accessibility Options

You can learn about the accessibility options on Disability.gov and how to change how you view the site by visiting the Accessibility Options page.

Disability.gov provides two different ways to view the site - a full color option, which is the default, and an alternate high-contrast (yellow on black) option, which may be helpful for people with visual disabilities.

To set your preference to high-contrast, go to https://www.disability.gov/accessibility and select the "Disability.gov in High Contrast" button towards the top of the page.

The Accessibility Options page also provides information on how to increase the text size of content on Disability.gov by using the tools in your Web browser. Step-by-step instructions for both Windows and Mac operating systems and for many popular browsers, including Internet Explorer (IE), Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Netscape and Chrome, are included on this page.

The “Skip to Page Content” link, located on the top, left-hand side of any page on Disability.gov, may also be helpful if you are using a screen magnifier or text-to-speech program.

Read our Accessibility Statement to learn more about our commitment to making sure Disability.gov is accessible for all users.
