Ummm, I'm watching these videos and commercials on TV and they say "because of the new Health Law legislation" we can go after Medicare fraud....HUH? I thought there always was fraud laws. In fact, there are hundreds of laws both federal and state against fraud. There are 50 state attorneys general and a huge US Attorney General office! Maybe they should stop worrying about new laws and use the ones they have. Here's one, every time someone needs a electric cart to get around, the government overpays $6000 for a unit they could buy at $3000 if they said that is the price they will pay. If the person dies 2 weeks after delivery of the chair, the government never asks for the chair back so they can give it to someone else. So, is it fraud for government stupidity?

I'd also like to point out that Certified Activity Professionals and CTRS's are trained to introduce the resident/elder to new recreational experiences, teach new leisure skills, provide a vast amount of recreational resources and so on.

In terms of Section F, Preferences for Customary Routine and Activities, Rena discusses the importance of recreational activities and that it is the responsibility for the facility to help the resident or elder overcome losses such as those who can no longer partake in their favorite activity because of health issues, limitations or facility resources. I totally agree with this statement but would like to add that this is a prime example of why Certified Activity Professionals and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists are an essential part of this process. These professionals have special training and a particular skill set that is needed to help adapt and modify recreational experiences so that the resident or elder can enjoy their favorite recreational activity to the greatest extent possible.

We owe a thanks to Mr Griffin...a good man with integrity...Medicare will and is good for the older people who have worked all their lives so that this boorish, selfish generation can sit around and complain, i am sure your partents would be ashamed of you, cause i sure am....Healthcare should be for all Americans.

I notice more negatives than positives, and the comments section has been removed (Andy Griffith spot). What happened to transparency? Lying cowards.

I also told a story of my husband who died in the UK (England) under the video with Andy Griffith sponsoring Gov't Elderly Health Care. It's not good stuff. Google patients complain about the NHS or die from the NHS.

I'm from the UK but now I live in the U.S. My neighbour in NY had heart surgery-quad bypass. Yes he is on medicare and has the suplemental medicare plan that you have to pay for. Many elderly can't afford it. Anyhow, after complications, due to the doctor's incompetency he is living on an oxygen tank daily. The bill shortly after him going home, was $20,000. Medicare won't cover it. Now my neignbour is suing the doctor but may never live to see the outcome of the law suit.

It is sad, that Medicare is using Mr. Griffith, in a political ad, advertising something that is in itself is a fraud. Every Senator and Member of the House of Representatives who voted for this law should resign. In 2010 re-elect NO-ONE! I wonder where Medicare is getting the money to pay for these ads and I wonder if Mr. Obama is counting Mr. Griffith as one of the people he has help employed since he took office.

I will give you my soul for health care!!! That's what it costs right? Or do I have to give you my freedoms too? Say the bill of rights? Am i correct? It's free right? I can just go into any clinic and just receive health care out of nowhere or do other people who work hard pay for me that don't even know me?
