Synopsis:
In June 2011, Wilfredo Cruz-Calix was arrested for immigration violations by the Denver Fugitive Operations Team 1 in Aurora, Colorado. He was processed for a "Notice to Appear" and afforded a bond. In July 2011, Cruz-Calix posted bond, was released from ICE custody, but was required to register with the ICE Alternatives to Detention Program.� In August 2011, Adams County, Colo., issued a nationwide extradition arrest warrant for Cruz-Calix for allegedly sexually assaulting a child. Shortly thereafter, Cruz-Calix absconded from the ICE Alternatives to Detention Program and his immigration bond was breached. In February 2012, Cruz-Calix failed to appear for his immigration hearing and was ordered removed in absentia to Honduras by an immigration judge in Denver, Colo.
