PHMSA Office of Pipeline Safety's overarching goals are to ensure both safety and security of our Nation's pipelines. PHMSA offers technical expertise and continuity between safety and security through the use of a systems based approach to vulnerability, risk analysis and management practices. PHMSA is committed to ensuring the security of pipeline operations. Through collaboration and coordination, PHMSA provides support to partnering Agencies and Department in the area of pipeline operations.
