The Cancer Genome Anatomy Project (CGAP portal)

Explore, visualize and analyze a wide variety of data types from the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project (CGAP) portal, including gene information, transcriptome data, chromosomal aberrations, cDNA library information, pathway diagrams, and gene expression data using the SAGE Genie.

Currently available data

This portal provides tools to analyze data generated from the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project.

Types of analysis

  • Find Genes using the Batch Gene Finder, Clone Finder, GO Browser, or use the Nucleotide BLAST tool
  • Find SNPs using the CGAP Genetic Annotation Initiative (GAI) resources
  • Conduct transcriptome analysis using data from the NCI/Affymetrix Human Transcriptome Project
  • Search the Mitelman Database of Chromosome Aberrations in Cancer
  • Search the SNP500Cancer database
  • View FISH-mapped BAC clones
  • View genetic and physical SNP maps
  • Locate cDNA libraries using the cDNA library finder tool
  • Examine genes by tissue type using the Gene Library Summarizer (GLS) tool
  • Examine digital gene expression data using the cDNA DGED and SAGE DGED tools
  • Review SAGE gene expression data using a variety of resources from the SAGE GENIE tool set
  • Review multiple libraries for RNAi data
  • View KEGG and BioCarta pathways on CGAP data
  • View a complete list of tools available from the CGAP website

Use the CGAP portal

The best way to get started is to visit the CGAP portal and identify your areas of interest.
