Army G-1

Accessibility

The ARMYG1.ARMY.MIL cares about the user experience of each and every user therefore we have taken measures to ensure a consistent experience across our websites.

You will notice several options on the upper right of every page.

Text sizing buttons with Small (S), Medium (M), and Large (L) options.

You will see the text size options that allow you to make the text larger or smaller based on your preferences.

We have set up access keys to allow people to use the keyboard instead of the mouse to perform these functions. The three access key comibinnations you can use are

  • ALT + S” to change to small text
  • ALT + M” to change to medium text
  • ALT + L” to change to large text
  • Finally you must click or press the “Enter” button.

You probably did not have noticed that we have added skip navigation to the begining of each web page to allow people to go directly to the main content and bypass all the links for the navigation. This is useful for individuals that use screen readers (people with visual issues) or people using Personal digital assistants (PDAs) so they do not have to scroll for multiple screens of redundant information.

If you encounter problems accessing this website, please e-mail the Army G-1 Webmaster, providing the URL (the web site address) of the problematic page. The Webmaster will refer your request to the appropriate component. The component will respond promptly to you by providing you with an alternate format of the requested material.

To enable us to respond in a manner that will be of most help to you, please indicate the nature of the accessibility problem, and your full contact information so we can reach you if questions arise while fulfilling your request. This will help us to serve you better and contribute to our prioritization of workload in achieving Section 508 compliance.

[Note--email to this address that does not deal with accessibility issues will be deleted without answer.]
