Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP)

MISSION: Our mission is to ensure that every small business concern and Historically Black College and University and Minority Institution (HBCU/MI) that wishes to do business with the SMDC/ARSTRAT has the necessary knowledge to successfully participate either as a prime contractor or a subcontractor. Our goal is to maintain the SMDC/ARSTRAT Small Business Office as a premier organization for the promotion of and assistance to small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, and HBCU/MI. We intend to continue to provide timely and useful information about programs and opportunities to the business community.

Contractor Reports of Inventions (DD Form 882)

• FAR/DFARS link / clauses (FAR 52.227-11, 252.227-7039)
• DD Form 882 with instructions
• Confirmatory Instrument [2 notarized originals]
• Required language in Patent Applications and in Patents
• Submit final DD Form 882 along with 2 notarized originals of the executed Confirmatory Instrument and a copy of the Patent Application or the Patent containing the required language through the ACO to the PCO at USASMDC.

D-U-N-S Number
All firms doing business with the U.S. Government (including foreign contractors) are required to have a D-U-N-S Number. These numbers are issued free of charge by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).

The System for Award Management (SAM) is a free web site that consolidates the capabilities you used to find in CCR/FedReg, ORCA, and EPLS. Future phases of SAM will add the capabilities of other systems used in Federal procurement and awards processes.
