Workplace Dynamics I: Gaining Self-Awareness

Workshop/Seminar: Leadership - Personal/Group Interactions; Management; Personal Development

Jan 10, 2013

Speaker(s): Julie Gold, Professional Development Coach, OITE
This event is appropriate for: Postbacs; Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows.

This experiential and engaging course, rooted in psychological type and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment, explores themes of self-awareness and self-management.  Through exercises, lecture, and small group discussions, you will learn about and validate your own type preferences and work and communication styles.  This workshop is designed as a foundation for the OITE's Workplace Dynamics series, but is not a pre-requisite for other sessions in the series.

Pre-work: All participants should complete an online MBTI Assessment through the OITE.  The OITE staff will provide you with a link to complete the MBTI approximately two weeks before the workshop.

This workshop is the first in a five part series on Workplace Dynamics.  Fellows who attend all five sessions will earn a certificate.  Please note that this session has been offered in the past, and earlier attendance will count towards your certificate.
