CRGGH former trainee highlighted in NHGRI news

By Ed  |  Thursday, April 12, 2012  |  Category: News and Events  |  Read Comments (0)  |  Share

Former postbaccalaureate trainee, Keolu Fox, was recently showcased in the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) news from the Office of the Director. Mr. Fox was an intramural research training award fellow at the CRGGH before moving on to the PhD program in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington.

The CRGGH is committed to providing an environment for all levels of trainees. Keolu spent a year with the CRGGH learning about and contributing to research projects involved in kidney function and pharmacogenomics. The mentoring support was provided by Drs. Rotimi, Adeyemo, and Ramos throughout his training. We are all glad to see Keolu putting his skills to good use as evidenced by the "Best Graduate Student Presenter for Genetics" award presented to him at the 2011 SACNAS National Conference.

Congratulations again!
