SAVE Verification Process

The SAVE Program provides two methods to verify an applicant’s status:

An electronic verification through the online SAVE system

A paper-based verification through the Form G-845, Document Verification Request

System response provides applicant’s immigration status or prompts agency to, “Resubmit with Docs.”

Agency submits a request that generates a prepopulated Form G-845.

Agency prints Form G-845 and mails it with photocopies of the applicant’s immigration documents to the designated Status Verification Office (SVO).

** If the SAVE Program does not verify an applicant’s status on the Initial Verification, it does not necessarily imply that the applicant is not authorized to be in the United States. It may be the result of processing error or indicate the need for additional or corrected documentation.**
