The NCMHD logo utilizes basic elements to address the concerns of the Center. The symmetrical shape evokes a feeling of order and continuity and represents an abstract human figure with swooping arms overhead molding into a double helix. The significance of the shape is important in two ways; the human figure shows the connection of the center to individuals, while the helix states the need to address the scientific concerns towards health. The gradient of colors suggests multi-culturalism and diversity.

The title is an umbrella over the figure, suggesting that the needs and concerns of individuals are covered by the center. The bold rounded abbreviation suggests that the center was founded on a strong base yet is flexible.
