Brief Project Description:

The Challenge  Identify requirements-driven solution architectures for geospatial data and services. The Sandbox Initiative will also document scalability, reliability and redundancy, so we will be able to track how it’s being used. Cost comparison information will also be collected from various agencies

The Solution  Use IaaS (Information as a Service) capabilities for the deployment of services or solutions architectures (suites of software).

• Improved public access to geospatial data beyond in house capabilities
• Increased speed of response, reliability, failover, and scalability
• Burstability to handle peak load situations
• Identifying requirements-driven architectures for geospatial data and services
• Documentation and costing to support scalability, reliability, and redundancy
