The U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) is home to the Reagan Test Site.   Located in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), 2,100 nautical miles southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kwajalein is the world's largest coral atoll surrounding the world's largest lagoon.  Eleven of the 100 islands comprising the Atoll are leased by the United States from the RMI government.  Radar, optics, telemetry, and communications equipment on eight islands provide instrumentation for ballistic missile and missile interceptor testing and space operations support.

Materials and supplies required to support RTS programs, the community and construction projects are shipped by surface or air transportation from Hawaii or Continental U. S.  The procurement cycle nominally requires three to four months lead time.  Transportation of test equipment to the Range is handled by the Range user.

The Reagan Test Site supports range operations with essential services normally found in a community of 2,500 people.  Contractor operated logistics support services include housing, retail facilities, food, medical/dental, K 1-12 schools, child-care, police, fire protection, postal, recreation, TV/newspaper, and other services.USAKA Logo

Wake Island, located 1,100 kilometers north of the Kwajalein Atoll, is a functional adjunct to RTS, providing a launch site for intermediate range NMD and TMD target missiles.  Program requirements, mission planning and implementation, and logistics support are coordinated through the Reagan Test Site.
