Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

AIDS Community Demonstration Projects: A Successful Community- Level Intervention to Reduce HIV Risk
Showcases a peer-outreach model that successfully motivated some vulnerable populations to adopt sex and drug-taking practices that reduced their risks for HIV. The site is targeted to community planning groups, program planners in state/local health departments, and community-based organizations and other service providers.

Partner Services
Prevention resources for the partners of individuals who have been diagnosed with HIV. This site is targeted to CDC’s HIV/STD partners and grantees who provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their partners. Information includes recommendations, funding opportunities, statistics, program support, educational materials, training, helpful links, and CDC updates and news feeds.

HIV, Hepatitis, STD and TB Partners
Studies have shown that partner services are cost-effective and cost saving. The benefits extend to individuals living with HIV or other STDs, their partners, and the larger community. At the state and local level, implementing these recommendations will help increase program collaboration and service integration and decrease costs.
