Auditory Processing Disorder in Children

Auditory processing disorder (APD) describes a condition in which people have trouble making sense of the sounds around them.

The NIDCD maintains a directory of organizations that might be able to answer questions and provide printed or electronic information on APDs. Please see the list of organizations at www.nidcd.nih.gov/directory. Use the keyword “auditory processing disorders” to search for relevant organizations.
