The NTP Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) is a federally chartered advisory committee whose members are appointed by the Secretary, HHS. The BSC provides scientific advice to the Director for the NTP and evaluates the scientific merit of the NTP's intramural and collaborative programs.

The Report on Carcinogens (RoC) Subcommittee was a standing NTP BSC Subcommittee from 1996 until 2003. Learn more about how the RoC currently functions.

The Technical Reports Review Subcommittee of the Board was a standing subcommittee of the NTP BSC that provided peer review of draft NTP Technical Reports until 2010. Peer review of draft NTP Technical Reports is now done by ad hoc Technical Reports Peer Review Panels.
