The 2012 San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds greeted the more than 1.5 million visitors with the blessing "May the Fair be With You" and combined fun, educational and traditional fair activities for young and old that ranged from agricultural exhibits to car shows and the Area Fifty-Fun exhibit. But the fun didn’t stop there: a wide selection of foods, rides and musical performances by national stars that included Demi Lovato, KC & the Sunshine Band and Train, among others, rounded out the Fair.

Amidst the fair fun, more than 7,000 visitors stopped by the Country Conquers COPD tent to learn more about COPD and its risk factors as well as pick up important educational materials for themselves and their loved ones. In addition to talking with local lung health experts about the signs and symptoms of COPD, more than 350 attendees took advantage of free spirometry testing provided by the COPD Foundation. A special thanks to the California Society for Respiratory Care and the COPD Foundation for helping us make this event a great success!
