Robin McKinnon
Robin McKinnon, PhD, MPA, is a Health Policy Specialist in the Risk Factor
Monitoring and Methods Branch of the Applied Research Program at NCI. Dr.
McKinnon works on activities to advance policy-relevant research on diet,
physical activity, and weight. Her research interests focus on public policies to
reduce obesity rates and include: the effects of food and physical activity
environments on individual diet and physical activity behavior, measurement of
the food and physical activity environments, the economic and societal effects
of rising obesity rates, and evaluation of public policies that may affect diet
and/or activity behavior. Dr. McKinnon earned her PhD in Public Policy and
Public Administration, with a concentration in Health Policy, at the George
Washington University in Washington, DC. She also received a Master of Public
Administration degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree
from the Australian National University.
