Pediatric Heart Network Trial of Pulse Steroid Therapy in Kawasaki Disease

Objectives

This was a trial to determine if adding methylprednisone to the standard treatment for Kawasaki Disease of intravenous gammaglobulin and aspirin would improve coronary artery outcomes. Children with Kawasaki Disease within the first 10 days of illness onset were randomized to one of the two treatment arms.
