This AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange video series, AHRQ Health Care Quality: Frontline Innovators on Changing Care, Improving Health, features brief video profiles of six health care professionals sharing human interest stories that illustrate the key elements of their innovations and the impact on the lives of individuals. The stories range from children in daycare who can get timely treatment through a telemedicine program to an unemployed truck driver who went back to work after receiving the care he needed from a local health care access initiative. Detailed descriptions of these and hundreds more innovations are posted on the AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange Web site. This video series has won three Bronze 2011 Telly Awards in the categories of Government Relations, Health and Wellness, and Information. Telly Awards honor distinguished work in areas including video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films based on a prestigious international competition. This video series has also won two Gold Hermes Creative Awards in the categories of Web Video and Video/Government. Hermes Awards are determined on the basis of an international competition and recognize excellence in traditional and emerging media. In addition, the series won a 2010 Aegis Award in the category of Training/Education. The Aegis Awards are the video industry’s premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials.
