Florida - Miami-Area Therapist Sentenced to Prison in Florida in $205 Million Community Mental Health Fraud Scheme
Nichole Eckert, former therapist at the mental health care company American Therapeutic Corporation (ATC), was sentenced 48 months in prison, three years of supervised release and ordered to pay more than $72 million in restitution.

Florida - Former Program Director and Marketers Sentenced to Prison in Florida in $205 Million Community Mental Health Fraud Scheme
Lydia Ward,the former program director, and Hilario Morris and Sandra Jimenez, former marketers were sentenced to prison, supervised release and ordered to pay more than $136.8 combined restitution.

Court documents allege that Dr. Alphonso Berry and his co-conspirators submitted more than 116,000 psychotherapy claims in his name, amounting to more than $8.2 million.

California - Owner of Los Angeles-Area Company Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison for Medicare Fraud captured in Toronto
Leonard Nwafor was handed jail time in 2010 after he submitted over $1 million of fake claims to Medicare through his Los Angeles-based power wheelchair company. In return, he received $526,243 of kickback.
