Skill Performance Evaluation (SPE)

SPE certificate application packets can be downloaded from this site, or obtained by contacting the Service Center (below) which is responsible for the territory in which the driver is a legal resident.

SPE Certificate Program
for Drivers with Missing or Impaired Arms, Hands, Fingers, Legs or Feet

Drivers with physical impairments which affect their ability to safely operate CMVs according to their medical examiners, or with missing limbs (e.g., a hand or finger, an arm, foot or leg), are required to obtain SPE certificates.
