Biography
Eric DeRycke joined the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program as a cancer research training award fellow in the Office of the Associate Director in order to assist in coordinating and managing national and international cancer epidemiology cohorts and consortia. With EGRP's Scientific Consortia Coordinator, Eric serves in the following capacities: organizes meetings, conducts literature reviews, analyzes data, prepares manuscripts, renews and curates the consortia website, establishes consortia and cohorts descriptive database, and participates in the cross-cohorts harmonization effort.
Prior to coming to NCI, Eric worked as a phlebotomist at a hospital in Syracuse. He also served as a research site coordinator at Yale University for a National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) genome-wide association study (GWAS) on the genetics of inflammatory bowel disease.
