2012 Deterrence Symposium

The 2012 US Strategic Command Deterrence Symposium was held in Omaha, Nebraska on 8 & 9 August 2012. This fourth annual symposium drew from academic, government, military, and international experts, with the goal of exploring a broad range of deterrence issues and thinking during a single event.

2011 Cyber and Space Symposium

"Space and Cyber: New Challenges, New Opportunities" was the theme for the 2011 USSTRATCOM Cyber and Space Symposium. This event combined the highly successful Cyber and Space Symposia and provided an exciting venue for information exchange among leaders in cyber and space. This Symposium delves into tough issues while fostering innovation and collaboration between the private sector and government. Sessions included perspectives of senior Department of Defense, U.S. and alied government, industry, and academia speakers.

2011 Deterrence Symposium

The 2011 US Strategic Command Deterrence Symposium was held in Omaha, Nebraska on 3 & 4 August 2011. This third annual symposium drew from academic, government, military, and international experts, with the goal of exploring a broad range of deterrence issues and thinking during a single event. The theme for this year's symposium was "21st Century Deterrence Challenges."

2010 Space Symposium

2010 Strategic Deterrence Symposium

The 2010 United States Strategic Command Deterrence Symposium, held Aug. 11, 2010, at the Qwest Center, Omaha, Neb. This annual symposium, brought together academic, government, military and international experts with the goal of exploring a broad range of deterrence issues during a single event. "Exploring the Many Facets of Deterrence " is the theme for the 2010 symposium.

2010 Cyberspace Symposium
5/26/2010 to 5/27/2010
The USSTRATCOM Cyberspace Symposium provides an exciting venue for information exchange among leaders in Cyberspace. Fostering innovation and collaboration between the private sector and government to delve into tough cyber issues were paramount for this symposium. Sessions included perspectives of senior Department of Defense, U.S. and Allied government, industry, and academia speakers.

2009 Space Symposium
11/2/2009 to 11/4/2009
The Strategic Space Symposium was held in Omaha, Neb. Nov. 2- 4. Co-sponsored by U.S. Strategic Command and the Space Foundation, it focused on warfighter issues, requirements, and global space strategy; it included speeches, panel discussions, interactive tracks and breakout sessions, as well as a variety of space exhibits.

2009 Deterrence Symposium
7/29/2009 to 7/30/2009
"Waging Deterrence in the 21st Century" was the theme for the deterrence symposium sponsored by U.S. Strategic Command, Jul 29-30, 2009. This first deterrence forum was held at the Omaha Qwest Center, Omaha, Nebraska. This yearly event is meant to provide a new venue for information exchange among industry, military and academic leaders in strategic deterrence.

2009 Cyberspace Symposium
4/7/2009 to 4/8/2009
The first annual U.S. Strategic Command Cyberspace Symposium, which focused on "Advancing Cyberspace Capabilities to Deliver Integrated Effects," was held at the Qwest Center Omaha April 7-8, 2009.
