New @ Blue

A new adjunct program to the Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network will focus on developing therapies for Alzheimer’s disease. The program is aimed toward researchers who have identified small molecule compounds with promise for treating or preventing Alzheimer’s.
At the 2012 Society for Neuroscience meeting, investigators with the Human Connectome Project described progress in their efforts to map the brain circuitry of 1,200 young adults and to develop faster, more sensitive MRI technology. For more, see this article from the Alzheimer Research Forum.
NIH Toolbox logo The NIH Toolbox is now available to qualified researchers.  The Toolbox is a set of standardized tests for measuring cognition, emotion, sensation and motor function from ages 3-85; it can be administered within two hours and requires nominal costs, expertise and equipment.
