The Contingency Response Field Office is located aboard the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia.  The NCIS Contingency Response Field Office is the first, and only, tactical operational field office located aboard the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Created in 2005, the Contingency  Response Field Office provides NCIS with the capability to rapidly deploy highly-trained and specially-equipped personnel in support of validated missions that include, but are not limited to criminal investigations, counter-terrorism investigations and operations, counterintelligence investigations and operations, protective operations, and force protection/anti-terrorism operations.

Personnel assigned to the Contingency Response Field Office receive extensive training in NCIS core mission areas (criminal investigations, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism, and protective operations), as well as tactics and techniques in military and high-risk law enforcement operations.
