Overview

The Collections Information Repository (CIR, formerly TRS) is a collections reporting tool, supplying the latest information on deposits and detail of collections transactions to federal agencies. The system allows financial transaction information from all collections systems and settlement mechanisms to be exchanged in a single system.

The Transaction Reporting System was renamed to the CIR in January 2013. FMS rebranded the system name to be consistent with the naming convention for its other data repositories, such as the Payment Information Repository (PIR).

The application link will remain the same as it was for TRS. The functionality of the application did not change as a result of the name change.

CIR supports reporting of Treasury Account Symbols (TAS)/Business Event Type Code (BETC) and Classification Keys (C-Key) data to facilitate reporting to the Central Accounting Reporting System (CARS).
