    Section 508 Training

The Section 508 training course is now available online via the HHS Learning Management System (LMS). Phase I of the Section 508 training is required for all prospective cardholders and Card Approving Officials (CAOs). This course will introduce you to the law mandating the accessibility of Electronic and Information Technology, often referred to as “Section 508”. It is also designed to help you understand the requirements of the Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and how it impacts your role and responsibilities as a new cardholder of CAO. Compliance with Section 508 simultaneously meets a legal requirement and provides additional benefits from a business standpoint.

To access the online training please select the following link: HHS Section 508 Training - Phase I.

Once you navigate to the HHS Learning Management System (LMS) homepage and have logged in, under ‘Catalog Search', enter Course ID: 00009629. Select the ‘HHS Section 508 Training- Phase I’ training link and begin the training.

Upon completion of the training, print a copy of your certificate and include it with your new purchase card application so that the purchase card program office may verify compliance.

For LMS assistance, please submit a help desk ticket at http://intrahr.od.nih.gov/helpdeskform.htm.
