For Patients & the Public

Most people prefer to be treated for cancer close to home in their own communities. The Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) was designed to engage community physicians in NCI clinical trials to assure that patients treated in their communities had access to quality medical care using the latest research results available.

  • To find a CCOP clinical trial provider in your community, view by state or site name, and visit the individual CCOP or MB-CCOP page. You can also view a Google map of the entire U.S. that will connect you to this information.
  • To see what kind of clinical trials are open, check the information at Clinical Trials & Resources.
  • To learn more information about a particular type of cancer, visit the main National Cancer Institute web site at http://www.cancer.gov

The CCOP network conducts clinical trials for cancer prevention, treatment, and control, which includes symptom management, toxicity reduction, supportive and palliative care, and quality of life research.
