Announcements

Hard Copies of Slides Will Not Be Provided at Lectures
The cost of copying the slides for all our students is prohibitively expensive. Therefore, we do not provide hard copies of slides at the lectures. We recommend that students print hard copies of the slides for the lectures that week and bring them to class.

Attendance Credit for Missed Lectures
Students may make up a maximum of five (5) missed lectures by viewing them on our website, or on a videotape or a compact disk (CD), and then confirming this in an e-mail to LaTanya K. Bailey, Clinical Pharmacology Program Coordinator, Office of Clinical Research Training and Medical Education, NIH Clinical Center, at baileyla@mail.nih.gov.

Certificates of Participation
Students who attend 75% (24 lectures) of the 32 lectures in the course will receive a certificate of participation.

Postponement/Cancellation of Lectures
The policy regarding the Postponement/Cancellation due to a weather-related or other emergency is as follows:

  • If the Federal Government is open in the Washington, DC area, lectures will be held as scheduled;
  • If a weather-related or other emergency arises in the Washington, DC area before the workday begins, and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces that the Federal Government is closed, the lecture scheduled for that evening will not be held as scheduled;
  • If a weather-related or other emergency arises in the Washington, DC area before the workday ends, and OPM authorizes early dismissal for the Federal Government in the Washington, DC area, the lecture scheduled for that evening will not be held as scheduled.

We will try to reschedule postponed lectures. However, students may at any time use this website to view postponed or any other lectures in our course as streaming videos.
