The U.S. Executive Branch Financial Disclosure System (PDF)

This brief overview of the U.S. executive branch financial disclosure system was a handout that accompanied remarks made by Deputy Director Jane Ley at the Third Intersessional Meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention held in Vienna, Austria, August 27-29, 2012.  The Working Group operates at the request of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.  Translations of this document are available in Arabic (PDF), Chinese (PDF), French (PDF), Russian (PDF), and Spanish (PDF).

Selected U.S. Government Awareness-Raising Policies and Practices in the Prevention of Corruption (PDF)

OGE prepared this document, on behalf of the United States, in response to a request to States Parties for information on awareness-raising policies and practices that support Ch. II (Preventive Measures) of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption. The document was submitted for the third meeting of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention, which took place August 27-29, 2012.

Implementation of Articles 7-9 of UNCAC (PDF)

This document outlines the U.S. experience in implementing Articles 7-9 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) as they relate to conflicts of interest, reporting acts of corruption, and asset declaration.  OGE prepared this document, on behalf of the United States, in response to Notes Verbal CU 2012/28(A) and CU 2012/82(A)/DTA/CEB from the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention.

Implementation of Article 12 of UNCAC (PDF)

This document outlines the U.S. experience in implementing Articles 12 of the UNCAC, including the use of public-private partnerships.  The U.S. submitted this document in response to Notes Verbal CU 2012/28(A) and CU 2012/82(A)/DTA/CEB from the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention.  

"APEC Standards and Practices" (PDF)

This paper includes information about standards for financial/asset disclosure and information about current disclosure practices in APEC Economies. The first section lists disclosure-related provisions of international agreements to which at least two APEC Economies have agreed. The second section presents the results of a questionnaire about disclosure practices distributed to APEC Economies. Eric Raile wrote and presented this paper at the September 15, 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Anti-Corruption and Transparency (ACT) Working Group workshop on “Effective Financial/Asset Disclosure for Public Servants” held in San Francisco.
