Biography
Christine Chang joined the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program as a cancer research training award fellow in the Office of the Associate Director. In this capacity, she works closely with the Knowledge Integration Team. Christine is responsible for extracting data from scientific publications and synthesizing data for the Cancer Genomics, Environment, and Medicine Knowledge Base (CancerGEM KB); assisting with creating, managing, and/or updating areas of the CancerGEM KB; as well as, working closely with EGRP branches to synthesize and communicate knowledge and data related to specific scientific priority areas.
Prior to coming to NCI, Christine worked as an intern with the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and as a public health research assistant at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she wrote and edited content for the Brooklyn Cancer Report. Additionally as a volunteer, she has served disabled and elderly populations and supported emergency medical services.
