Biography

Sherri Cook is a Program Support Assistant in the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program (EGRP). Her responsibilities include providing programmatic and administrative support to EGRP's Methods and Technologies Branch.

Ms. Cook has been with NIH since 2006. Before joining EGRP, she worked in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Science's Behavioral Research Program (BRP), where she prepared travel arrangements, assisted in scheduling meetings and conference rooms, coordinated staff-appreciation initiatives, and worked to highlight the important scientific advances of the Program staff. During her time with BRP, she worked with the Tobacco Control Research Branch (TCRB), the Health Promotion Research Branch (HPRB), and the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch (HCIRB). Ms. Cook is a member of several human capital and team-building committees, and has also served as a key worker for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

Ms. Cook has a combination of education and experience that spans over 15 years. She previously worked at the Anne Arundel County government payroll department and also worked in private industry managing small business development and accounting. She attended Bowie State University and Prince George's Community College, where she studied Elementary Education and Child Psychology.
