Interest Areas
Using the tools of Knowledge Integration to canvas the interdisciplinary field of cancer epidemiology and advance research by synthesizing prior knowledge, incorporating new information, identifying gaps, and translating findings. Investigating how environmental factors influence or interact with genomic factors, and how these affect cancers and cancer outcomes.

Biography
Dr. Lam is a Program Director and a member of the Knowledge Integration Team in the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program's (EGRP) Office of the Associate Director. In this capacity, she is responsible for managing a cross-programmatic research grant portfolio that focuses on genetic and lifestyle factors that influence susceptibility to cancer. Dr. Lam also engages in a number of Knowledge Integration projects across EGRP.
Dr. Lam joined NCI as a Cancer Prevention Fellow and then a Cancer Research Training Fellow in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics. As a Fellow, she designed, developed, implemented, and evaluated genomic/epidemiologic research in cancer etiology and outcomes related to genetic factors and lifestyle factors.
