Biography

Eliza Mette joined the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program (EGRP) as a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow in the Host Susceptibility Factors Branch (HSFB). She is responsible for portfolio analyses and literature reviews in the areas of metabolomics, biospecimens, and global health to support EGRP initiatives. She plays an integral role in organizing scientific meetings, notably the upcoming Think Tank on Use of Metabolomics in Population-based Research.

Prior to joining EGRP, she completed an observership with the Washington DC Veterans Association Medical Center and internships at Maine Medical Center Research Institute's Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation and Peck, Madigan, Jones, & Stewart, Inc. She has an avid interest in global health equity and community development and volunteers with GlobeMed and the Cheerful Hearts Foundation in Kasoa, Ghana.
