The Applied Research Program's Position within NCIThis chart describes the hierarchical relationship of some of the divisions, programs and branches within the National Cancer Institute, focusing on the position of the Applied Research Program. In the National Cancer Institute there are seven divisions: the Center for Cancer Research, the Division of Cancer Biology, the Division of Epidemiology & Genetics, the Division of Cancer Prevention, the Division of Cancer Treatment & Diagnosis, the Division of Extramural Activities, and the Division of Cancer Control & Population Sciences. In the Division of Cancer Control & Population Sciences there are five programs: the Office of Cancer Survivorship, the Behavioral Research Program, the Surveillance Research Program, the Epidemiology & Genomics Research Program, and the Applied Research Program. In the Applied Research Program there are three branches: the Health Services & Economics Branch, the Outcomes Research Branch, and the Risk Factor Monitoring & Methods Branch. |
