Healthy Vision 2010 Archive
Healthy People 2010 was a national health promotion and disease prevention initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Its goals were to increase the quality and years of healthy life and eliminate health disparities. The initiative challenged individuals, communities, and professionals to take specific steps to ensure that good health, as well as long life, are enjoyed by all. In 2010, for the first time, vision objectives were included in Healthy People, leading to the creation of Healthy Vision 2010.
