Grants

The California HealthCare Foundation works as a catalyst to fulfill the promise of better health care for all Californians. We support ideas and innovations that improve quality, increase efficiency, and lower the costs of care.

CHCF funds projects that are strategically aligned with its programs: Better Chronic Disease CareInnovations for the Underserved, Market and Policy MonitorHealth Reform and Public Programs Initiative, and State Health Policy. Funded projects have relevance to California health care as outlined in the program descriptions and generally have implications beyond a single institution.

While unsolicited requests are accepted by the foundation, most of our grants are solicited or awarded through a competitive request for proposals.
