Operation Delego: Indictments unsealed against individuals on 5 continents involved in child exploitation network
Investigation serves as largest in US history, led by ICE's Homeland Security Investigations
WASHINGTON — Three indictments and one complaint were unsealed on Wednesday charging 72 individuals with participating in an international criminal network dedicated to sexually abusing children, and producing and disseminating child pornography throughout the world. These charges resulted from an extensive investigation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano announced the charges with ICE Director John Morton; Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer, Justice Department's Criminal Division; and U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley, Western District of Louisiana.
